A special day at Abbey Road Studios
Towards the end of 2024, we embarked on our first ever Cover Sauce Sync Session – recording 12 exclusive covers with the illustrious Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at the iconic Abbey Road Studios.
Our aim was to give these instantly recognisable sync heritage copyrights a new orchestral arrangement and modern contemporary production.
The album features covers of Curtis Mayfield’s legendary track “Move On Up”, the quintessentially British “Mr. Blue Sky”, the universally loved “Sunny” and the beautiful Pretenders song “I’ll Stand By You” to name a few.
As you can imagine this was months in the making. We collaborated with two incredibly talented and respected arrangers and conductors to reimagine these songs for the world of sync.
It was a truly special occasion. Witnessing the RPO at work in the walls of the most famous recording studio in the world – bucket list stuff! Check out our behind the scenes video below.
Whilst we are focussed on maximising sync opportunities for our 12 master recordings, the album will also be released onto all DSP platforms on the 4th April. Watch this space.
These new recordings form part of our Cover Sauce catalogue, the largest Covers & Re Records catalogue in Europe for sync.
